By car

Please follow the signs to "Zoo/Naturkundemuseum".

Parking is available at the facility shared with the zoo.

The parking facility is located ca. 50 meters from the LWL-Museum of Natural History.

There are enough parking lots for cars, ca. 20 lots for buses as well as special parking lots for disabled people.

Daily rates 4€. Parking coins are avaibable at the museum's information desk.

By bike

The LWL-Museum of Natural History can be accessed via bikeways from all directions.

The museum can be found in the "Radverkehrsnetz NRW" (bikeway net for Northrhine Westphalia) on the internet. The "100-Schlösser-Route" (100 castles route) runs close to the LWL-Museum of Natural History (Mecklenbecker Straße, on the opposite side of the Aasee).

There are several covered parking lots for bikes. They are located between the Natural History Museum and the zoo. There is also a charging station for e-bikes.

You can leave your bags and luggage in one of the several lockers in the museum.

By bus and train

From the main train station take bus line 14.

The bus stop is on the same side as the train station.

The bus goes in the direction of "Zoo/Naturkundemuseum".

Travel to the final stop "Zoo/Naturkundemuseum".

With the water shuttle

Since April 2012 you can cross the Aasee (lake) from the city center to the harbor of the museum/zoo with the solar boat "Solaaris". The first solar-passenger-boat in the world was built in Stralsund.
